Learn to Hand Card with Elizabeth!
This workshop will teach the fundamentals of handcarding fibers in preparation to spin or weave. A brief history of hand carding with demonstration of long-tine or 'viking' combs included. Students will make their own rolags with wool and will move on to learn the basics of blending fibers such as silk and mohair and the purposes for blending. Hand cards and fiber will be provided. Students will take home rolags created in class.
