Dates of the class: Materials kits and instructional video will be available on Sunday, November 1, 2020. Materials kits can be picked up at The Folk School cabin. Optional live Zoom follow up meeting will be on Thursday, November 5 at 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.

Learn mosaic knitting, a magical way of creating color work (more  than one yarn color in a row) patterns using slip stitches, with this  NEW knitting kit from Calypso Farm: Mosaic Mittens! Participants will  learn how knit with slip stitches and tips for doing mosaic knitting in  the round. Great for beginners or experienced knitters. (You just need  to know basic knit and purl stitches to do this pattern).

Christie will release a pre-recorded video to send out to  participants that will include helpful tips for knitting the kit on  November 1st. The materials kit will also be available at this time.  Materials kits can be picked up at The Folk School cabin.

Christie will also host an optional Zoom follow up where participants  can ask questions, show their project progress, etc. on Thursday,  November 5 at 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.

Note: The kit is knit on size 10 double point needles. Calypso Farm has needles for purchase if you need them.

Prerequisites: Students need to know basic knit and purl stitches to do this pattern.

Workshop fee: $30

Materials fee: $50 (Includes the complete Mosaic  Mittens kit – yarn and pattern. You will need your own set of needles. The kit is knit on size 10 double point needles. Calypso Farm has needles for purchase if you need them.
