Fairbanks Weaver’s and Spinner’s Guild, Tanana Valley State Fair, 1800 College Rd, Fairbanks, AK 99709, USA
Workshop Details
In this class, students will learn to create patterns by manipulating tensioned warp ends, creating “warp pickup patterns." You'll also learn to follow charts and weave words into their projects using this technique. This can be done with inkle, rigid heddle, table or floor looms, as well as backstrap techniques - each of these variations will be discussed.
You will work on your own loom and have the opportunity to collaborate with other students. This is a self-paced class and you'll be free to pick and choose which techniques you wish to concentrate on.
